There’s never a June when our house isn’t full of peonies. Years ago, I planted lots of deep pink peonies as well as white varieties. Now, most of the pink peonies have become white, but have retained a beautiful stained edge to the petals that always reminds me of the tubs of vanilla ice cream with raspberry sauce we used to love as kids. Which always makes me smile.
